Willow Walks

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Willow Walks, starting on May 20, led by April Shenk, is a women’s group at PCC designed to bring women together in authentic community, encouragement, and connection as we walk together each week. Together, we will explore how to create safe spaces where women can come as they are and be met with grace, kindness, compassion, and acceptance. In a world that often pressures women to compete or stand at odds with one another, Willow Walks invites us to break down barriers and embrace who God has called us to be. Our hope is to build a village of women who support one another and choose to see each other through the loving eyes of Jesus. Starting and stopping at Rise & Grind Cafe’. See you there!

Group Leader

April Shenk

April and her husband, Luke, began attending PCC together in 2004 while they were still in high school. Today, they continue to attend and serve together alongside their three children. April currently serves as the Powhatan Campus Care Coordinator. She is also the founder of The Willow Collaborative, an organization created through what April knows was a calling from God. The Willow Collaborative provides emergency support, advocacy, and empowerment for women in Powhatan County and surrounding rural communities who have been impacted by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
