Kingdom Builders
What is Kingdom Builders?
At PCC, we believe that God has given us a vision to leverage our experience and footprint to reach people at an exponential pace. We’re going to accelerate the redemptive potential of our church through PCC’s Kingdom Builders Team – our committed core of financial leaders who fuel our mission to reach people who don’t go to church so we can all have the fullest life possible, found only in Jesus Christ.

Meet John Tiller
Kingdom Builders Team Leader
John has served in volunteer leadership roles at PCC for almost 20 years and now leads our Kingdom Builders team of Tithe+ Givers. John is a veteran business leader in the local community. He believes that our work IS our ministry and that financial generosity is a critical part of living a full life with Jesus.

Kingdom Expansion
Legacy Lane # 1
Our priority has always been focused on Kingdom Expansion by reaching people who don’t go to church. We do this by meeting people where they are with a timeless, relevant message: God wants you, God is for you, and He can offer you what you can find nowhere else! With 321,000 unreached people in our communities, we still have work to do!
WEEKEND SERVICES – We are at or near capacity at some of our campuses. Where we can, we’ll add additional services at optimal service times. This will include a 3rd service at our Midlothian and Aylett Campuses and a 2nd service at our Farmville Campus.
CAMPUS EXPANSION – Adding a 3rd service at Aylett will allow for some growth, but it will fill quickly. We are limited by a facility that we have quickly outgrown. As an interim step towards building an optimal building, we will add additional space to the footprint of the current facility.
While Aylett’s limitation is real estate, Farmville’s is location. We will identify and purchase land or a facility to move our Farmville location to in the future.
DIGITAL PLATFORMS – Our online presence is the front door of our church, and often becomes the permanent space for people looking to PCC to help them on their spiritual journey. We will enhance our digital platform to make the experience as high quality as possible. We will launch a podcast with our Senior Pastor, elevate our website, and increase awareness for maximum growth and reach.

Next Generation
Legacy Lane # 2
We want to be known as the church where kids and students want to be and the church that introduces them to Jesus, raising an entire generation of young adults who are excited about their faith. The long term future of P CC’s mission will ultimately be entrusted to the next generation of Jesus’ apprentices.
INCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND –
Nothing says ‘we love kids here’ like a vibrant community playground. We want to build a fun, safe, attractive, and visible space for all kids to play and parents to gather at every campus.
SUMMER KIDS CAMP – This is not the same as Mega Camp. At daytime summer camps kids will develop a rhythm of prayer, deep teaching in a guided curriculum, and community, all packaged with a bit of fun. They often bring their friends and these groups grow rapidly and have a powerful impact.
SPRING & FALL STUDENT SPIRITUAL RETREATS – In the past, we’ve offered these for a fee, but teenagers often lack the funding, so many who want to go cannot. These are not just fun weekends, but pivotal opportunities for spiritual growth with teenagers who are hungry for it at a critical time in their lives. We intend to fully fund these retreats and offer them at no cost to students.

Local Compassion
Legacy Lane # 3
The Bible repeatedly champions putting faith into action by helping people. James2:20 says simply, “faith without deeds is useless.” PCC takes seriously our responsibility to help people around us, and we’re excited to do it!
DISASTER RESPONSE – Because of our church’s enthusiasm around helping people and our commitment to it, we’ve been invited to play a larger role in disaster readiness by Samaritan’s Purse and the Baptist General Association of Virginia’s Disaster Response Team.
HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF – This hurricane specifically devastated parts of Virginia to an extent that will not allow for a quick recovery. We will have a long-term commitment to help people in the mountains of southwest Virginia recover by sending teams, resources, and support.
THE WILLOW COLLABORATIVE – The Willow Collaborative supports women who are victims of domestic and sexual violence in communities where no government support agency exists. We believe there is a larger, hidden population of women who need help, and we’ll partner with The Willow Collaborative to make to available.

Global Outreach
Legacy Lane # 4
Jesus’ charge to his followers was to be His witnesses, “..in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth,” and to “go make disciples of all nations.’ We combine global physical needs and global spiritual needs through global outreach with long established and cultivated strategic partnerships in Belize, Moldova, Tanzania, and most recently, the Amazon.
TANZANIA – Elevate our partnership with Save LifeEnglish Medium School (SLEMS) sponsoring every one of the 48 orphans at the school. We will expand the facility at SLEMS to allow for new grades to be added and ad critical technology, like Starlink Internet, which will allow teachers from PCC to equip and train teachers in Tanzania.
BELIZE –Equip Calvary Baptist Church to launch both a preschool and a secondary school, where at-risk kids can find hope and community and equip them with a state of art technology center. Calvary has become a beacon in Belize City and the future of the children in the surrounding communities can change the trajectory of an entire country.
AMAZON –Establish a local school to serve nearby villages and fully sponsor a local pastor. We will create a safe and reachable school for children in multiple villages along the Amazon River. This school will keep children safe from the perils of the river and eliminate treacherous boat travel. The school will also serve as a community center where the people of the village can meet for education and to worship with the support of a local pastor. Through strong church leadership on an ongoing basis, families will continue to find healing and support as they face the future.

FAQ’s
The bible consistently references God’s command to give the first 10% of our income to the local church. In fact, this is the only command in the Bible where God challenges all of His people to test his faithfulness (see Malachi 3:10).
Tithe+ is any amount that you give to PCC over and above 10% of your income.
Yes! Unless your gift is designated for a specific Legacy Lane, all gifts to PCC are directed to our One Fund that supports our Annual Operating Budget. All dollars given beyond our Annual Operating Budget are attributed to Legacy Lane projects.
- A: We are not asking for pledges or commitments from our givers. While Giving is a critical part of our spiritual walk as Christ-followers, this dream team is about providing our Kingdom Builders (self-identified Tithe+ givers with the spiritual gift of generosity) with the following:
- Affirmation of God’s calling to Marketplace Ministry
- Connection and community with PCC leaders and other Kingdom Builders
- Insider previews of God’s vision for PCCm with early opportunities to invest in accelerating that vision
- Encouragement to ask God if and how much they should give to accelerate the vision.
- No. While all gifts given up to and including the tithe are important for both the church and the spiritual journey of the giver, KB is specifically designed for self-identified Tithe+ givers to PCC with the spiritual gift of generosity.
- You can identify all of your spiritual gifts through PCC’s Growth Track, found on our website. However, if God has put on your heart the desire to give beyond the tithe to advance His Kingdom, you are in the right place!
- PCC has long-standing accounting processes in place to ensure absolute financial integrity, including the following:
- Checks and Balances. There are consistent policies and procedures providing checks and balances within the staff and between the staff and Steering Team (PCC’s “Board of Directors”).
- Spend Less Than We Receive. Expenses are ALWAYS at or below income.
- Certified Accounting Reviews. After our church reached a certain size, we began annual third-party CPA certified reviews that have passed with “no comments” for five consecutive years.
- Open Books Policy. Our financial statements are published on our website; any PCC supporter who has questions about our financials is invited to set an appointment with our financial staff.
- Your Campus Pastor is your primary contact for Kingdom Builders team information. You may also reach out anytime to KB Team Leader John Tiller or Senior Pastor Brian Hughes.
