The Way
We are constantly being shaped—by the podcasts we listen to, the social media we consume, the conversations we engage in, and the influencers we watch. All of this forms us, whether we realize it or not. But what impact does all of this have on how we think about God? Many people view following Jesus as a single moment centered around a decision. Once we pray a prayer, join a church, or accept Jesus as Savior, we focus on actions—attending church, joining a group, serving, inviting our friends, and giving. All of these are good and necessary. However, following Jesus is more than a transaction, and it’s more than just acquiring information. It’s about applying that information in a way that deepens our relationship with God. In the series “The Way,” we’ll explore the concept of apprenticeship to Jesus—following Him by being with Him, becoming like Him, and doing as He did. The first followers of Jesus developed habits or spiritual practices based on His life, designed to live as He did.
