Famous Last Words

We often remember a person’s final words—their parting words, if you will. How many people tuned in to hear the last Jeopardy Episode because they wanted to know what Alex Trebek would say in his final statement to his fans?  Leonardo DaVinci said in his final words, “I have offended God and mankind because my work did not reach the quality it should have.” Perhaps his famous works, The Last Supper and The Mona Lisa, weren’t the masterpieces we’ve proclaimed them to be.    Jesus, the cornerstone of humanity, knew He was going to die.  It wasn’t like he was in an unexpected car wreck. When he was hung on a cross in a life-ending process called crucifixion,    He knew the world was watching, then…and now.     When someone knows they’re going to die, they know they can’t waste any time…and they know they can’t waste any words either.  So they say the things that are most important.  Jesus did that too.  Discover three important truths, spoken by Jesus in the face of death, and meant to give us the secret to the fullest life possible, right here, right now.
