THE CLASSICS – FEBRUARY PROGRAM AND LUNCH

“Fraud and Scam Prevention”

Have you ever been a victim of fraud, or identity theft? If so, you know first-hand the helpless feeling that someone is using YOUR information (and identity)! Our program for February will provide information and strategies for each of us to feel more confident and secure in spotting scams, protecting our personal information, and keeping our money safe.

Our speaker, Kathy Boykin, will teach us to recognize common fraud attempts—from phone calls and emails to online shopping tricks—while practicing simple steps to safeguard our identities and finances without complicated technology.

We will also explore safe habits for using phones, computers, and social media. We will learn what to do if something feels suspicious, as well as confidence-building tips that make everyday life safer and less stressful.

Kathy is the Director of Allstar Care Solutions, a company which provides a variety of services for seniors and their caregivers.
