Online Mental Health Awareness Class

It’s a worthwhile class about different aspects of mental health including the difference between mental health and mental illness, active listening, coping strategies/boundaries, medications, suicide, disorders, different kinds of therapy, and self-care techniques. Each class will have an educational portion and a valuable discussion time. There will be eight classes in total, an hour and a half each. Meeting every other Thursday starting June 5th. Jump in anytime. Class size is limited to 12 and all participants must be 18 or older. Running time 60-90 minutes.

Theresa Goodman

Theresa has been a mental health advocate for more than a decade and has just finished her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Her passion is mental health awareness and suicide awareness and prevention. She currently works as a counselor at Rubicon Counseling specializing in trauma and related disorders and is working towards earning her Licensed Professional Counselor license. She enjoys spending time on her farm with her husband of 15 years, two children, horses and dogs.
